Welcome to Whatton Farm.

Whatton is a family farm comprising 1800 acres of mixed farmland and 200 acres of woodland.  It has been farmed by our family for generations and we want to ensure it will be here for generations to come by looking after the land and creating quality products that we are proud to sell.

 

We grow a variety of crops on rotation, including the oilseed rape that our delicious Whatton Farm Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil is made from, and Spelt, an ancient wholesome grain from which our Whatton Farm Spelt Flour is milled.  We also grow Fava beans which are an excellent break crop for the soil, as well as other conventional wheat varieties.

Our livestock enterprise consists of a suckler herd of Limousin and Aberdeen Angus cattle, and a pedigree herd of Belted Galloway cattle. We finish the Aberdeen Angus and Limousins, whilst the Belted Galloways are available as pedigree breeding stock, as well as occasionally for their tender and flavoursome beef.
